The program will begin at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, January 4, and will end by noon on Sunday, January 8.  Tecopa is a two hour drive from Las Vegas, the closest airport.  We'll help participants to arrange shared rental vehicles or carpools.

Creativity is the essence of life: that which invites us out of the mundane and places us poetically within the heart of life. It surrounds us and dwells within awaiting our call. Each shield/direction summons a unique creative response specific to the whispers of our Soul - it beckons us into its mystery.

Wilderness guides, healers, psychotherapists, group leaders, social workers, teachers and those on a path of personal healing will be inspired by and benefit from this workshop both personally and professionally.

During this workshop we will travel around the four directions embodying their wisdom and expressing their essence in sacred art, mask making, movement and ritual. Everyone is an artist, a mover, and a storyteller so no previous experience is necessary.

Robert Boyle, Ph.D., vision quested, trained and apprenticed with Rites of Passage with our work in Australia. Robert is Senior lecturer at the College of Complementary Medicine in Hornsby, NSW. A shamanic practitioner, sweat lodge leader, transpersonal art therapist, artist and group leader with over 25 years experience in personal and professional development, he brings compassion, humor and deep insight to his work as a teacher and guide.

Vicki Dean vision quested, trained and apprenticed with Rites of Passage with our work in Australia. She is Principal and Senior Lecturer at the College of Complementary Medicine in Hornsby, NSW. She is a shamanic practitioner, a transpersonal art therapist who developed a diploma program for Mask and Traditional Healing, a sweat lodge leader, and an experienced group facilitator. Vicki is an deeply perceptive and compassionate counselor as well as a visionary artist, and she brings these gifts to her work as a teacher and guide.
