Wilderness Guides Council (WGC)  A national organization composed of rites of passage guides.  Mike Bodkin,  RoP Director, has served on the Advisory Council of the WGC.  Scout Tomyris is past Netkeeper, and Munro Sickafoose current Netkeeper, of the organization.  Both are on the RoP staff as guides.  From the WGC website: 

The Wilderness Guides Council vision holds that wilderness has great healing and inspirational qualities.
The Council embraces this vision in promoting the health of wilderness ecosystems and their spiritual values as places where modern vision questing and rites of passage may take place.
The Wilderness Guides Council is also committed to reintroducing meaningful rites of passage to modern culture and thereby helping to create and maintain a sustainable society.

Gary Plep leads men's groups and men's vision quests in the San Jose area.  Rites of Passage co-sponsors some events with Gary.


Holger and Gesa Heiten

Holger and Gesa, who live in Germany, lead German-speaking vision quests, corporate trainings and workshops in Europe.

Seven Generations, guided by Lynn Jones, is an Australian organization offering Vision Quests and leadership programs modeled after the work we do at Rites of Passage.  We're cooperating with Lynn to present a series of programs in Australia.



Live a Mythic Life is an organization created by Tom Anderson that offers workshops and retreats focusing on rediscovering soul and purpose, with a focus on leadership.  Tom is a good friend of Rites of Passage, and his work includes support for those undertaking a Rites of Passage Vision Quest.
