The Rites of Passage Couple's Quest
is a new program that we've created for committed couples in ongoing relationship.  It will be led by two couples in longterm marriages:  Kent and Farion Pearce, and Mike Bodkin and Renee Sweezey.  Mike and Renee field tested the program in August 2007, with Kent and Farion holding base camp, and it proved to be powerful, deep and renewing, for both couples involved.  As a result, we decided to make it available to other couples, following the model we developed in the field.

We're limiting registration to a total of four couples, because of the intensive nature of the work involved.  While there will be a total of eight individuals, we're planning on time for twelve, because of the mysterious "Third" that will be worked with for each couple's story.  In other words, each member of the couple will present their purpose and intention for the quest, then we will listen to the purpose and intention for the couple (the Third), and work deeply with that purpose as well.  The solo time will also reflect this approach: Two and a half days of solo for each individual, then a day of solo for the couple to be together, fasting, in the silence of the wilderness, before returning to base camp.  We'll follow a similar approach when we work with the stories from the solo.  Each couple will present three stories, one for each partner and one for the Third, the story of the couple's journey.
